“An administrator who inspires both teachers and students is a rare jewel! Sandra put teachers at ease by conducting ‘side-by-side teaching’ when she came into classrooms to model instructional strategies. With Sandra at the helm, the teachers felt motivated and inspired to implement the Best Practices she modeled.
Sandra has made phenomenal changes in our school. She came in with a plan of action which was very helpful to our staff. Sandra quickly identified the need for our school to write a Local Education Agency (LEA) plan in order to have access to Title 1 funds. She singlehandedly took on the task of gathering information from staff members and writing the LEA Plan.
Two months after Sandra joined our staff, the Charter School Review Board came to inspect our school. I was asked a series of questions by the Review Board, and almost every question could be answered with something Sandra had implemented. It was clear to me that she knew what she was doing! Sandra was also effective with students. Ms. Martinez has a lot of experience with different age groups and knows how to counsel students. Sandra is fair, yet firm, and students aspire to show her they can improve their behavior."
